Bicycle vi Finale

Cudi was confused; she could not believe the sheriff’s words. Barry has been with her every morning ,and always there to catch her when she falls riding Vigdis. She hold her tears until the sheriff drove off from the bridge.Her tears fall on her bicycle seat,Cudi took a long stare at Vigdis,she knew that she must seek the truth,is the Barry that she met is the real Barry Deaver or just a stranger  who claimed himself as Barry,by using Barry Deaver’s identity? .She puts her legs on the paddle and start cycling to the town’s public library .She never cycle Vigdis as fast the wind before but this time,they both were breaking the wind .Her heart was thumping wildly,she’s afraid that she might be losing her mind to believe that Barry is ever existed.

“Excuse me.I need to find an information about….a suicide case that happened 2 years ago at the bridge .Can you help me?” Cudi asked the librarian politely.

“Oh,yes I can help you with that,there’s an article about Barry Deaver.He jumped off the bridge with his bicycle.The article is in the library archives.Let me get it for you.”The librarian tried to assist Cudi

SATURDAY- A 23 year old “Lover Boy” was found dead at the Swanwick Lake .The sheriff concluded that it was a suicide after they found a suicide note handwritten by the victim,Barry Joseph Deaver.His body was found  fully dressed and the Sheriff Department also found a yellow bicycle, they believe that it belongs to the victim.The victim’s father Gary John Deaver  was frustrated with his son’s death.”He’s my only son…I’ve lost everything”said Barry’s father after the press interviewed him at his residence.The funeral will be held on Tuesday at Serenity Soul Cemetery.

There’s a picture of Barry in the newspaper article,wearing a plaid shirt just like he used to wear everyday when he meets Cudi.The sheriff’s words were right,Barry was dead.The guy whom she met is the real Barry,not a stranger who regarded himself as Barry like Cudi expected to be.He is real and used to exist in this world but now he’s gone.He is not an imagination.Cudi left the library after she learns the truth that Barry is gone.

She cycled to every place that she used to practice with Barry.The foxtail field and the the abandoned Peabody’s farm.She went back to the bench where Barry likes to sit near the bridge.Cudi climbed the bridge’s beam just like she did on the first day she met Barry.

“Barry! Save me! I want to commit a suicide now,hurry before I jump!”Cudi screamed  until the top of her lungs.She was hoping that Barry would stop her,just like before.This time,no one tries to stop her,Barry wasn’t there anymore.Cudi returned to her cabin late that evening.Terri was very worried because Cudi promised to return in the afternoon.Cudi locked herself in her room,she continues to write about “Bruce” and “Laura”.On the 50^th page and she changed the ending…

“Laura was surprised after seeing Bruce wearing a white tuxedo that morning,unlike every day,he used to wear the same clothes but on that day he decidde to propose Laura to be his one true love.Laura said yes and they  tie a knot a week after.That’s the story of a lady from the big apple marries a stranger who eventually becomes her husband.The guy from the orange county.If it’s not because of the bicyle and Laura’s weakness,they might not be together or remain being strangers like before."

Cudi finally finished her novel.500 pages of recorded moments of Barry and herself. Terri was still working on typing the last chapter.It is the time that they have to get back to New York,the big apple city that doesn’t grows apples.Cudi packed her things after Terri finished  her typing work.She puts Barry’s button in her purse,the button that holds many memories and also mysteries.A pick-up service was called to bring Vigdis and their baggage back to New York.

Before the pick- up service arrives,Cudi took one last cycle with Vigdis on the orange county ground.A handwritten novel was in her wicker basket,she wanted to give the original novel to Barry’s father.Cudi went to Deaver’s Bicycle Store,and meets Gary Deaver.

“I would like you to have this,Barry’s last words was in this novel.I want you to keep it,Barry wished that he could talk to you but..he couldn’t .He loves you Mr Deaver and I know you do too .Goodbye .” said Cudi.She continues her last trip to Serenity Soul Cemetery,where Barry’s body were buried.
