“Tonight, We are young, So let's set the world on fire, We can burn brighter than the sun” the rhyme of the song that kept playing in the mind of teenagers, with their ear buds tuned with the highest volume and it is not impossible to shock a person until he or she jumps off from the couch after hearing with those loud sounds, and perhaps they should forget the idea to set the world on fire. Well, teenagers might be enemies for some people or a certain group but they should always remember that the country wants them. Malaysia needs the power of youth in order to continue the development of the country and also bringing brighter future in years to come. Youngsters are the most valuable asset to country; they are the ones who are going to continue the legacy with their ideas and creative innovations. An organization must be built to gather the youngsters to contribute their ideas and speak their minds; the place where the youth could make wonderful plans for brighter future and make it comes to life. Everything starts with the man in the mirror before taking big steps ahead and that would be me. If I were given the funding and resources to set up a new youth-based civil .society action group to influence public policy on a pressing issue affecting youth, I would definitely form the Youngsters Power Society to help.

The youngsters these days are not aware with their environment; they are sinking into the world of fun and enjoyment, with the increase rate of social problem cases and how far their minds being poisoned by bad influences that mostly comes from the west. If this situation keeps going, then who would run the country? Who would be the Prime Minister? Would you imagine if our country ruled by a person whose hairdos like a “Mohawk” tribe and even have tattoos and piercings all over, the so called “Fashion World” seems to be turning backwards! Enough with fashion, let us start discussing with the real situation here.Would you want to be ruled by someone who looks like this? I bet the answer must be the capital N and O which spells for NO!

Picture is the courtesy of Kelly Ficarelli

I could not let this happen and so those other people because everyone holds a responsibility to serve the country and every small step taken could bring a big impact to curb this problem. Although some people may come up with this “Oh come on they are just kids, what do kids know?” and even this “Just let them be, they’ll grow up sooner or later? Ignorance would not do any help and always remember that “Action speaks louder than words.”

First of all, the Youngsters Power society will start championing on improving our country’s education. Education begins at home where parents teach their children about manners and ethics. What they learn in school, it is a whole different story. Do you remember the day you first carried your backpack? Where you learn the ABCs and sing. As far as I can see that most kindergartens syllabus in Malaysia are not that “building”, what I am trying to say is, instead of teaching children how to sing “London Bridge is Falling Down”, it is better to teach them “Malaysia’s Buildings are Going Up” with not only teaching these kindergarteners to sing but also teach them with skills such as social skills, physical skills, aesthetic skills, interactive skill and much more. As the PERMATA program that is found by Yang Amat Berbahagia,Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor is a great way to expose young children to education in a whole new different way as the program is adapted in Malaysia in order to make Malaysian children  think differently just like the children from other countries .

This program would be more efficient with the help of youth by bringing education to be more interesting with 3D special effects and graphics because most children are easily bored with books unlike the children in those days where books were hard to find. Sometimes things change according to time. These days children need something more attractive to them so they can learn better. Applying HOTS in schools should be a compulsory, I know, most people would imagine the sun shone brightly up in the sky but it is actually the short for Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) that requires children to think outside the box. They need to learn how to think critically so that they can be fast learners. Why am I focusing on young children? Everything starts from the bottom and it is parallel to a Malay proverb ‘Nak meluntur buluh biarlah dari rebungnya.’

Second is, health is wealth, the obesity problem that occur among youngsters has become the biggest worry among the society, the citizen, parents and probably the whole universe! The increase rate of diabetic patients is very critical. According to WHO, World Health Organization survey in 2010 stated that Malaysia is the sixth country in Asia with the highest adult obesity rate. In 2008, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) made a research showing an increase rate of obesity 0f 30% in the six until 12 years old age group. To curb this problem, hospitals and clinics should work together with the Youngsters Power society to fight obesity by doing campaigns and free weight loss consultation to students and even to the public. ”Prevention is better than cure” because obesity also influences other diseases such diabetes, heart problems and also high blood pressure which the most common diseases that runs in the blood of Malaysians nowadays. Health tours in schools should be organized to make the students realize about the importance of living in a healthy environment and only consume healthy food.

Third is, the social problems that occur among teenagers in the country has led to destruction of moral values and also the increase rate of baby dumping, drugs and crimes gone worst day by day. The Youngsters Power Society will lend a hand to reduce this problem with taking unemployed youngsters as youth activist to help giving seminars in schools and even colleges because most of the problems occur due to peer pressure and also lack of religious education. Parents and teachers do not have enough hands and eyes to monitor their children and students not to forget that this problem is also can be out of hand. So by making them realize about the bright side of the world with seminars and exposing them with the opportunities that they could get if they avoid to involve with immoral activities would have a done a big help to curb this problem. Thus, by taking unemployed youngsters as youth activist will also contribute to the country by reducing the rate of unemployed citizen.

Everybody has the power to change, and even though some of the youngsters out there who cause no problems at all, it does not mean that you can sleep around or just ignore what happens around you. Get up and make a contribution and you should not end up like this.

Would you parents be proud?

After days I've been waking up on the evenings,my mom decided to take me along to listen to her speeches in schools around the district. I think she's trying to make me to get up early.....heh I can't help myself after sleepless nights trying to finish my short stories and not to forget the Maybank Foundation Fund Essay competition! I must win! Yeah!!! I'm still busy although I'm on my semester break.

So enough with the intro~ Yunelle, is it my new nickname? Replacing Liselle? Neverrrr!
It is actually YUNA+LISELLE= YUNELLE,How can I come up with the name? The story begins when I had to wake up early today..although I can't sleep until 4 am,generating the ideas for my essay. My mom had to drove us until Beruas which is about 30 km from our house...and I'm way tired but I don't like to let my mom travelling alone,as a responsible child err I mean pre-adult,I sacrificed my nappy time! Sorry Yuna's fans,I don't mean to offend anyone. I'm not a Yuna wannabe or something else.

Today I've manage to visit 2 schools today and the first school welcomed me with "Yuna Datang Sekolah!" and they actually sang Yuna's song "Terukir Di Bintang" I was like blushing all over....they teased me all day...heh...I've got to tell you that Yuna is much far beautiful than I do,I don't know why these kids mistaken between Yuna and me.Obviously they just want to make fun of me~They are only 15 and 16 and yet ...haish kids nowadays. They even asked my mom for my number....erk! That's too far,you crossed the line.

The earlier story begins.....
It was during April, when I had to attend my previous school to claim my debate certificates,I was walking down the lane where the birds chirping happily and tree branches move swiftly along the wind~ and suddenly "YUNA! HI YUNA!" a boy just screaming hi to me from the third floor. Way up the building and then he ran downstairs just to tease me,heh mind your own business pal! I caused you no harm. I am Liselle Moncherie the writer not Yuna the singer,Hey it rhymes! Writer and Singer! Plus, I'm a senior, how disrespectful to be treated like that. :P

I am not a star,just a simple writer/blogger/dreamer :P

Oh! I almost forgot to tell about the other school that I've visited this afternoon, well many people mistaken me by assuming that I'm a new teacher. I wear jeans! How can a teacher wear jeans to school??It's hard to believe? Well it is weird because it happens on a very weird day of mine~

Since YUNA's album is Decorate then YUNELLE is MAKEOVER mwehehehe :3

Bam!! My trolley cart was crashed and hit a near a wood rack at a mall, I was like "What the...." "Oh excuse me I'm sorry, someone pushed from behind I didn't mean to crashed your cart" said an American guy who looks so familiar,he is Ryan Seacrest!!!! Mom and I were starstruck,he even asked me "Oh do you know me?"

"Hell yeah of course I know who you are, everybody knows you.You the guy who host the American Idol! I love you dude, you're the best!" I expressed my excitement until my rabbit teeth showed up<--- I always try to hide those teeth.

He grinned at me saying "Oh well, since I crashed your cart and nobody notices me except you. I am going to make it up to you,by teaching you and show what it's like to host tv shows."

My eyes just can't get any bigger when he told me that he wanted to teach me, Ryan Seacrest?! For real?So yeah we change numbers and he actually bought me tickets to L.A. It was an awesome moment when I flew with him, when we getting know about each other. He told me about his experiences and the shows he hosted. It was such an amazing journey, reaching L.A where the sun shone brightly and the land of dreams and promises,I get a chance to stay at Palm Springs hotel, filled with Palm trees and unique shaped of swimming pools.

The next day,he took me to Hollywood. I always wanted to go to Hollywood to see how they set the studios and famous actors and actresses act in the scenes. We made it to a studio, where the crews were busy setting up the cameras and the lights. There are wires all over the floor and he showed me the camera man,the producer and suddenly a woman hurriedly walked towards Ryan and he needs to be on stage in 5 minutes. Then Ryan gave me a headphone with a microphone just like the crews' headphones. "It's your turn"he smiled and he gets on the stage to start the show.

I stand in an awe, watching him hosting the show live and he just right in front of my eyes. He's been my favourite tv personality and my favourite DJ since I was still in school<---I just left school I'm not that old haha. Now there he is performing right in front of me,and then suddenly I heard someone called my name.....but I can't find her, where is she?

"Oiiii Bangun lambat pergi kelas nanti!" my roommate woke me up. I was like "No Ryaaaaaaan!!!" it was just a dream? Why does it seemed so real?....my class was cancelled by the way...."Mana ade kelas harini...cancel!" I told my roommate while pulling my blanket and hope to continue my dream...what to do.....a sweet dream has been terminated...no other episodes or to be continued....everything seemed so real...it turn out to be a dream...just a dream...it doesn't mean that a dream can't come true.

1 day I'm going to meet Ryan Seacrest....but he must be really old by the time I turned 25....

Sweeping the spider webs, rolling the vacuum on my posts that used to be the grand red carpet. Grand? well probably heee :3. The story-teller is back! Since my readers seems to be decreasing...day by day...months almost turned into a year<-----How metaphoric! Fret not! I am going to continue on my blog that used to be the apple of your eyes heee Liselle MonApple? ,Where have you been dear minions??....don't turn into mini onions,Liselle Monion<---okay that's too over

I've been through a lot during the first semester as a Mass Comm student,or more likely to be called as a mass commer. Life is like a bumpy road with holes, and we have to drive on the road in order to fulfil our hopes and dreams. After four months in Sepang,I learnt a lot from my observations and the people around me. I've learn to give,I've learn to share,I've learn to talk and I've learn to use iLearn! Mwhehe yep life wasn't easy. Tears and sweats and shed on my first semester I hope that I could be stronger and wiser on my next semester.

I met a lot of cool guys,we are the Mass Commers that will rock the stage, will rock the crowd and will rock the world with writing awesome articles and stories! They are the candles that lit up my life and lift my sorrows when I feel sad or down. Not to mention I found Lemon,Lime and Apple heeeheee another fruit collection? Perhaps, hehe. They are just the ones who can put a smile on my face and fades within seconds...just like a diabetic sweetener in a cup of tea<---ok this is too far for a metaphor.

We are the Marvellous 7!
You already knew which one is me and I'm proudly introducing my classmates :D
The upper picture from left: Me,Sarah,Julia,Aliff,Nazura,Qyla and Que
The lower picture from left: Me again,Julia,Sarah,Qyla,Nazura,Que and Aliff.

Studying with 6 people is not a bad thing after all.It made us closer to each other and care for each other unlike other courses that have hundreds of students in a class but Mass Comm is way different. That's all for today, for my comeback hehehe. This is Liselle Moncherie reporting from...err my own "studio" aka my room heheh :P.

It has been almost five months that I didn't meet my best friend Rara, and fortunately Rara and I are currently staying near each other so yesterday we decided to meet up at the nearest McDonalds. We were busy before with our studies since he's in UIA and I'm in a college in Sepang so we didn't have the time to meet.Days turn to months, months didn't make it to years mwehehe! Wait did I actually mention the title for being unfortunate event? Bad news first or good news first?

Bad news: Some people didn't like seeing me and Rara went out together,so the person yelled at him and forced him to go home straight away.Rara told that person he couldn't just left me,it's not good to leave me alone and he wanted to wait until my aunt came to pick me up.Blushed with anger and humiliation Rara had to leave me with thousands of sorries and rushed out with goodbyes. I was speechless and being left alone in a cold cold night at MacDonalds that was crowded with strangers and cigarette smokes.Their grins gave me a paranoid vision or deja vu or something closer to those two words, no transport could take me home.It was 11.30 pm,after Rara had to left me for almost an hour....I called my aunt to pick me but there was no answer from her,she fell asleep!

I had no choice but to rush to the counter, not to make another order to take away home....but a to make a home delivery.Fortunately, the staff willingly to take me home with his motorbike.Seriously?! I didn't even know this guy and I never ride a motorbike with a guy except my dad! Oh my god!! I can't even lift my face up...being ashamed of myself.I said sorry for troubling him so much,he said it was ok...if it wasn't because of him,I don't what would happened to me if I walked home...

Good news: At least I'm happy to see Rara,a 2 hour meeting couldn't cover up the 5 months duration. We've been best friends for almost 3 years, going through the exams together and we even studied together.I manage to capture our meeting moment in my not-so-powerful phone camera. Mwehehe and I'm glad I reached home safe and sound.Perhaps I wouldn't step in the same McD next time.

All hail the Paper Queen with paper ships credit to Mr Goo

I've been drowned in the sea of assignments and tests...
I found a raft of highlighters and I paddle to the shore using my mechanical pencil,
I finally landed on an island where coconuts leaves are made of binding combs...
I lit up a fire and to dry my clothes....as I turn around...a group of exams chased me like cannibals
I run as fast as I could but the exams were faster, there's nothing I could do to save myself unless...
I start stabbing the exams with a pen!
One by one starts to fall, their bodies that made from papers are no match for a human like me
This Means WARRRR!!!
I will survive for this final and I will do my best.
My Final Sail on the island of exams.
